Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook shows easy to master methods and her signature spikey blonde locks. Chef Burrell worked at top New York restaurants and studied Italian food traditions and geography. Also, she was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a youngster in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she became interested in the world of food and restaurant management by enrolled at The Culinary Institute of America. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't perform enough or work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture through her travels in Italy which has had an impact on her cooking style. Burrell is a famous ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. Additionally, she has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids with disabilities. Burrell travels extensively across the country as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her profession and her love for cooking. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share what I love most in life with others.
